Fruit in Waffle Cones + Baby Shower Freebies!

I'm always game to host a party and have recently thrown a couple of baby showers for great friends.  Here's how I served fruit at my most recent function... in waffle cones!  Fun, huh!!  I stood them up in shot glasses and it worked perfectly.  They were super pretty and everyone loved how they were displayed.  Eating the sweet cone afterwards was just a bonus.  A couple of quick tips when using cones... make sure your fruit is dry and don't fill them until the last minute or the cones will get soggy at the bottom.

Another sweet treat I served (that got as many squeals and screams as the cones) was Cookie Dough Shots!  I know.  Crazy-awesome, right?  I used my favorite "Safe to Serve" Raw Cookie Dough recipe (HERE); they looked appetizingly-FANTASTIC all lined up on the table with the coordinating circle tags (free download at the end of the post).

By this point, guests were drooling and I was a hostess in heaven!

I am always parched after a party, so I love sending a "thank you for coming" water bottle home with each guest.  White Chocolate Popcorn is also a crowd favorite (which is just that, melted white chocolate drizzled over popcorn).  This time, my partner in crime, Jen created popcorn cones by rolling up a piece of 12x12 scrapbook paper and tied them with a coordinating bow.  So cute!

There's that White Chocolate Popcorn again at another shower I hosted, this time served in small white bags.

... and the "thank you" water bottles of course.

As far as the tags and water bottle labels I used above... I know they aren't complete party collections or anything - so I thought I'd just share them as freebies.  It might surprise you that I don't usually go into a complete printable frenzy when I throw a party... but I do choose a few things to label that will add fun color to the overall look of the party.

These printables aren't "baby" specific - so you could use them for any occasion.
You can download them at the link below:

Happy Partying!

  11. Thanks for the comments!

@Tonia... I didn't make the cones, found them at my local grocery store, only $2 per dozen. Easy!!

Anita... The labels really aren't anything too special. I designed them on Scrapbook Max, printed them out at home - and the only fancy thing I used was on the Cookie Dough Shots I used a basic scallop punch. You should be able to find one online for less than $12-15. Good luck! :)
