{NEW} Breast Cancer THINK PINK Kiss Printables

The most common, recurring statement or confession I get from friends, acquaintances (and even family) is that during the height of my hubby's cancer battle they just didn't know what to do or what to say.  They didn't want to impose.  Dropping by or calling seemed so intrusive; they wanted to respect our privacy.  Now, while I'll say that every person is different... probably the worst thing you can do in this situation is nothing; and to take that a bit further... the worst thing you can say is nothing. Not wanting to impose is a valid concern, but letting that fear stop you from expressing love and support will just leave the patient or individual think you didn't care enough to reach out.  Luckily, I was blessed with many, MANY brave friends - who overcame their fear of imposing and did simple and loving things to help me feel supported and most importantly to make sure I knew they were there.  The drop by's, the texts, the cards and care packages, the dinners and plates of goodies - all helped buoy me up to face another day.  I think it's very important that I point out... it was sometimes even the simplest gestures that made the biggest impact.  Your gesture of support does not have to be grand to be heartfelt.  I have been overwhelmed by the generosity and thoughtfulness of others -  how their expressions made me feel during my darkest days has become the inspiration behind some of my most favorite printables - my entire "Scatter Sunshine Collection", just to name one...

So... this new printable, I hope, will also fill a need. If someone you know has been touched by breast cancer, past or present... and you've wanted to show you care, this is a simple way to do it.

I made two tags for this one... "Keep going... You can do it!" to give to a patient (or family member of a patient... trust me, caregivers need encouragement too) or "Think Pink" for any person, awareness event or even fundraiser where you need a handout or favor.  Cancer tends to be a group affair... so don't stop at just thinking of the patient... her mother, her sister, her best friend all need encouragement as well.  In the past, I haven't particularly allowed the selling of made-up printables - but for a local chapter or patient fundraising cause for someone you love, please feel free. :)

I'm feeling particularly inspired about this... so hopefully it's just the first of many more awareness color and cancer printables to come!

  1. Love it! My 5 year breast cancer free anniversary is on Oct. 29. I want to make bags of kisses to share with my friends that day! Thanks for the cute sticker idea!
