I love patriotism! I love red, white and blue. I love the freedoms we have in our country. I'm grateful for those who protect that freedom. I made this freebie last Fall after feeling inspired by seeing the new 9/11 memorial in New York City and wanted to remind you it was in my freebie library.
I also wanted to take a quick minute and update you on our family. This month has obviously been brutal. Getting a diagnosis of cancer turns your world upside down and finding peace is difficult. I am, however, surrounded by angels both seen and unseen that have made this unpleasant journey manageable. My hubby's tumors are extensive and inoperable. They are like a webbed net of cancer from his neck, to his armpit, across the left side of his chest down to his diaphragm. He was staged as a 2BX Hodgkin's Lymphoma - which means we caught it on the earlier side, but it's fast moving and agressive. We are so very lucky that it had not spread to any organs or to his bone marrow. He's displaying amazing strength and often teases us that he's got this cancer in a head lock. I don't know if he's actually got it in a head lock yet... but he's a fighter and he's giving it his all. We have 6 months of chemo ahead, he had his first round last week. This certainly hasn't been an easy experience, but we've grown in faith like I can't even describe. We feel close to God and know he is watching over us every step of the way. Thanks to all of you who have sent me amazing, uplifting emails. Keep them coming!! :) I have saved each one and will read them on the hard days that are surely ahead.
God Bless...
