#sharegoodness NUGGET FREEBIE!

I have the best job, can I just tell you?!! I get invited to speak at various events and one of my favorite topics to speak on is how we can use and develop talents to #sharegoodness in the world. No matter how big or small our sphere of influence, we can share goodness with those around us. In fact, we are commanded to share our light with others!

Matthew 5:14-16 says, "Ye are the light of the world. A city that is set on an hill cannot be hid. Neither do men light a candle, and put it under a bushel, but on a candlestick; and it giveth light unto all that are in the house. Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven."

In the Parable of the Talents, we know the Lord is telling us that we should not only develop the talents he has given us, but we are to multiply them! But where to you start? How do you know what talents you've been blessed with or which ones you should develop? There is no one formula... but it's definitely a matter of prayer, counseling with others (often they see our talents when we cannot) - and going through the process of seeking inspiration from Heavenly Father about what HIS plan is for us and what potentials he knows we have. It's truly the journey of a lifetime.

This past week I spoke to an RS group in Salt Lake and for the favor, we decided to put my main points on a set of nuggets and I wanted to share it with you all! If you'd like to plan a similar activity (great for YW or RS) - I based lots of my remarks on the scripture above, the Parable of the Talents and President Uchtdorf's conference talk "Happiness, Your Heritage". I spoke for about 20 minutes, then they had a few tables set up where ladies could explore and try a new talent in two 20 minute rotations. You could certainly do anything - but they had a crochet table, a beading table and doughnut making. It was a great night where goodness was shared and we all left feeling uplifted and excited to better seek inspiration as we develop and share our talents with the world. ♥
