{FREEBIE} Candy Cane Legend



Time for another freebie!!

One of my favorite followers (and best customers) had me work these up as a custom order for her... but they turned out so great I got her permission to share them with all of you!  They are sized to be bookmarks (perfect for attaching a regular sized candy cane), but can be used as a tag too!

Jesus is the Gentle Shepherd,
 and this cane of red and white
 proclaims the humble story
 born on Christmas night.

This cane, you see, 
when turned around
 begins His name of Love
 and now becomes a symbol 
of peace proclaimed above.

The lively peppermint flavor
 is the regal gift of spice.
 The white is His purity
 and the red His sacrifice.

And so this cane reminds us
just how much He cares
and like His Christmas Gift to us
it's meant for all to share.

    Thanks so much for this. I have been recovering from a broken ankle and did not really feel up to doing these. I had Office Max print, laminate, and punch the holes (very reasonable price). I bought green ribbon and did that and taped a candy cane to the back. I'm giving these out to all the ladies in my Sunday School class tomorrow. Thanks again.
