Sunday Sentiments: Week 4

Here we go... time for Week 4!  I hope you guys are enjoying this series as much as I am.  This past week has been a tough one at our house.  We recently learned that my husband's cancer did not respond to his chemo and it decided to grow instead.  We've been devastated.  The last 10 days have been spent, basically in a panic, getting more opinions, seeing new doctors and developing a new plan.  He'll be admitted sometime this week for 4 days of high-dose chemo as we start on a new path in search of remission and eventually a Stem Cell Transplant.

But you know what... I'm still mostly smiling. I have my moments, but life is good.  We have amazing family and friends surrounding us, we have access to world renowned physicians, we live in an age of advanced medicine - and I believe when you mix those things with faith... you CAN walk with a smile and expect miracles.  So - this isn't necessary a "quote" - but it's my new motto as we walk into month # 20 of this battle.
