2013 LDS Primary Printables!

UPDATE: This set of printables will be completely redesigned and updated for the 2018 "I am a Child of God" Theme - (my design skills have come a long way in 5 years)!! Anticipated release date is Sept 20 (or before) - please follow me on FB (HERE) so you don't miss the announcement!

For a sneak peak of what will be coming - it will be similar to my 2017 collection (HERE)

I belong to the LDS Church (I'm the Primary President in our ward) and I look forward to creating new printables every year!  For 2013, the theme is "I am a Child of God" and I couldn't be more excited about it.  I decided to stick to bright colors and wanted to make happy images.  My "I am a Child of God" chapstick is now one of my favorite possessions, as is the Subway Art.  And the gift blocks for the kids' birthdays?!  Be still my beating heart.

You can download each piece of my collection below:

"I am a Child of God" Subway Art...
5x7 Framed Subway Art JPEG | 11x14 Framed Subway
4x4, 5x5, 8x10, 11x14 & 16x20 (all perfect for crafting or framing)

2013 Primary Presidency Planner

For baptism gifts, we do framed & personalized Subway Art...
you can find that one in my shop HERE.

I know.  Insanely cute.  Right?!

$$$ TIP... I'm on a tight budget and $1 a piece for chapsticks for all the kids is too much for our group.  So,  I found bulk chapstick online, comes in lots of flavors in a plain white tube with no label for $0.28 each.  I also used "SAVINGS10" at checkout and saved 10% off my order.  Website HERE.  I always print my lipbalm labels on white, full sheet sticker or label paper - you can find it at any office store.

Making the gift blocks is easy and fun.  I bought an 8 foot 2 x 6 at Lowe's for $5.23.  Apparently a 2x6 is ACTUALLY 2 by 5 1/2 which was PERFECT for me!  I had them cut the 8 foot piece down into 5 1/2 inch blocks and got 17 blocks out of one piece - making them just the right size for the 5x5 image.

I used my mouse sander to clean up the edges, then painted with regular acrylic paint.  I worked at the FAMOUS Wood Connection in Salt Lake when I was in high school and learned there to do a base coat, then sand, paint 2nd coat, then sand with fine grade sand paper to get a super smooth finish.  Then, adhere image with either ModPodge or Wood Glue.

DON'T FORGET TO USE A COUPON!
Use COLETTE to save 20% on any purchase, or use CANVAS30 for 30% off $10+

Happy Planning!

  7. I love these, so creative and bright! But I'm having trouble with the size for the 5X5 blocks. How do you resize them to 5X5? It only prints out full page size.

  8. Be sure you are downloading the file "Primary - 2013 Printables". Page 4 has the 5x5 images for printing.

  19. LOVING THIS! I am so excited, I'm going to make the blocks for my primary class on their birthdays. Thank you so very much!

  20. How can I change the Presidency binder covers to have the names of each class on them? Thanks.

    ReplyDelete
  21. The Presidency Covers and Door Signs are the same graphic. If you download the blank door sign - you can write or insert a text box for your classes. There is also a file in the download that already has all the class names on them. :)

  22. Thank you for sharing your wonderful talents. These ideas are great.
I would really like to use the prayer, talk, scripture cards, but I need to make a couple of changes. Is there any way I could download these as a word file so I could make the changes? I would be willing to pay if needed.
Again, your ideas are so helpful.

  25. Trying to print the PRIMARY - 2013 Printables.pdf but it says that it's not available. Is there anyway I can still get this so I can make the blocks?

  26. Hi, guys... sorry about the download issues. I'm fixing them as we speak. Check back in a little bit and everything should be up. :) Thanks for letting me know!

  27. OK, Primary Friends. My blog was having issues with all the 2013 printables download links - those are now fixed. By request, I also separated all the files, so you can just grab what you need individually. I also corrected the lyric "can" to "must" in the I am a Child of God Images. Don't know how I missed that one! Phew... now time to finish printing and getting mine all ready for next week!

  28. Colette, thank you so much for all of your hard work!! I love this set!! I was wondering if by chance you have an edited 'framed 5X7' link that we can use to download. I'm going to print that one for my kids rooms. :) Love it!!

  30. Hi! I love all of these bright cute printables. I would like to use the one that is shown when you click on the link from sugardoodle. It is a 5x7 printable with a cute white frame around it. But I can not find where I can download just that file, like I can with some of the other printables. I'd love it if you could make that one downloadable as a jpeg! Thanks for your help!

  31. Alison/Courtney... the 5x7 framed art is now in the above links as both a PDF and as an individual JPEG image. Thanks for using them, I'm flattered! :)

  36. Thanks so much for your beautiful work. I love the colors you chose for this year and how cheery it is! I saw your personalized subway art and I LOVE the idea of giving it to the children for their baptism gift. Would you be able to send me the original format so I can customize them for our children? I saw the etsy shop, but there was no charge so I figured you wouldn't mind. If you'd rather not, it isn't a big deal. THanks SO much!!!

  38. please.... can you make a 4x6 option? I have darling frames from Ikea for our Primary Kids birthdays and this print would be PERFECT for them! I've tried to print the 5x7 and 8x10 into 4x6 size but they get cut off at the edges :)
    thanks so much
i am loving the printables for the year! i printed the presidency organizer (for me) and the 16x20 is framed on our primary wall * pre changes... so I have a new corrected one in my car to replace this weekend!
    thanks again

  39. Hey Kari - I don't know if you follow Colette's facebook page, but she has been very sick this week. So much so that she has had to close her shop. She has also mentioned on FB that she has received so many requests for modifications that it would be impossible for her to help everyone that has asked.

Also - I know a little bit about creating digital files and changing her original format to a 4x6 format would not be easy and she would have to pretty much start from stratch to make it work. Just thought I would let you know so would have time to get something else worked out.

  40. thanks for the heads up Lisa
    I appreciate it

  41. Hi, Heidi... I actually sell a blank version of my baptism subway art in my shop. Here's the link: https://www.etsy.com/listing/96387359/blank-lds-baptism-subway-art.

Lisa/Kari... thank Lisa for jumping in and answering. I have been so sick this week! Kari, Lisa is right. The 4x6 size is not proportional to the original print and all of the lines would have to be re-aligned to stretch the length of it properly. I've simply just shared what I've made for our Primary and am not able to accommodate individual requests. I get dozens everyday and just am not able to modify them for everyone's needs.

    Thanks, guys!

  43. Thank you so much for sharing your talent with us. We made the I Am A Child Of God blocks for Activity Days and it was a hit. I am not talented enough to create such cute computer artwork and there is no way we could have afforded to do this without your sharing for free. Thank you!

  44. Have you made a CD template for 2013 with the "I am a Child of God" theme on it?

    ReplyDelete
  45. Any chance I could get the primary "I am a child of God" bookmarks in a jpeg? I was wanting to print them on photo paper at walmart.

  46. je ne suis pas vraiment concernée, mais j'ai placé un lien sur le board consacré aux créations "chrétiennes", à partir de la Bible ou concernant des religions dont elle est le point central... je sais que cela intéressera bien des internautes..;

  47. Hi Colette, I was recently called as the new Primary President in our ward and I am so happy I found your wonderful creations. I have a lot of ideas that I want to share in our primary but I was lacking some creativity. You're talent is a blessings to me and our primary. I was so amazed with the 2013 I am a child of God printables in sugardoodle. And I know I will still find a lot of wonderful things in your website. Thank you so much for sharing your talents and I'm sure I will always come back for more printables..:D God Bless your heart!

  48. I just want to say thank you SO much for the Sharing Time Assignment Cards, I returned to my home ward from the YSA ward and was called as Primary Secretary. I found your assignment cards for 2013 and printed them and glued them to the Avery name badge stickers and give them to the kids to wear so their parents will see the assignements easily. I really appreciate your time and dedication to helping others like myself find cute and wonderful ways to fulfill our callings! You're the best!
